Expert Witnesses

ASFE Executive Vice President John Bachner testified on Friday, October 12, 2007 before the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors, arguing for its adoption of new rules requiring expert witnesses to testify about the standard of care only “with knowledge” of what the standard of care actually was. In this presentation, Mr. Bachner describes how meritless claims and lawsuits against professionals negatively impact society.
